Ease of Doing Business
- One of the top 3 states in Ease of Doing Business as per the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion’s assessment of the states’ implementation of business reforms 2016 under Business Reforms Application Plan
- The single window clearance system of the State has several key advantages for investors including : a repository of Government schemes and policies promoting investment, accountability, traceability and transparency, online submission of forms for various clearances required for industry set-up, online tracking of application status, email alerts with application updates, online processing and approval of various applications by Government departments/organizations, sector-specific information and a telephonic support centre
Policy Incentives
- Back ended interest subsidy 7.5 per cent on term loans, with maximum of INR 1.5 crores for a period of 5 years for setting up/expansion/diversification of food units
- Reimbursement of 50 per centstamp duty/registration fee paid on sale/lease/transfer of land
- 100% reimbursement of stamp duty/registration fee for setting up of agro infrastructure projects
- Reimbursement of 100 per cent of the electricity duty paid for a period of 5 years on a co-terminousbasis with power tariff subsidy
- Subsidy of 25~40 per cent of actual sea freight, pegged at a maximum of INR 15 Lakhs per annum, for a maximum period of 5 years
- Subsidy of 25~40 per cent of air freight paid, subject to a maximum INR 10 Lakhs per annum per unit granted for export of fresh or processed products from the cargo complex at Ahmedabad International Airport. In case of samples being sent, subsidy of 25 per cent of freight paid is available, with a maximum of INR 5 lakhs per annum
- Assistance for contracts/approved research work from SME industrial enterprises to R&D institutes/technical colleges approved by AICTE
- R&D institutions established by the State Government or with participation from Government of India are given assistance for equipment and machinery or modernization of existing labs or setting up of new labs
- Additional subsidy of 1 per cent given to SC/ST, physically challenged, women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs below the 35 years of age.
